Essential oil is currently on everyone’s lips, among artists and biohackers. Those who do not know the oil directly associate the oil with an intoxicating effect. After all, herbal oil contains herbs obtained from the hemp plant.

Contrary to popular belief, the herb is not intoxicating, nor do euphoric feelings of happiness arise from taking essential oil.

What is essential oil?

Unfortunately, essential oil is repeatedly associated with the ingredient contained in the hemp plant. Two different mechanisms of action with different effects and properties. We will show you why.

What is hemp oil?

Hemp oil is not a special oil, but a generic term for oils made from hemp. Primarily, hemp oil means a high quality vegetable oil that is created by pressing hemp seeds.

These oils are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins and minerals. Because of these properties, hemp oil is often used as a base for essential oil.

What is the endoherbs system?

Herb products are on the rise right now. Not because they have an intoxicating effect, but because they can support the body’s optimization. But how does this effect occur?

The mode of action of herb is not easy to understand and has not yet been fully investigated, but the so-called endoherbs system may contribute to a better understanding.

In general terms: the endoherbs system is part of the nervous system. It consists mainly of the C1 and C2 receptors. In addition, there are other receptors such as GPR18, GPR119 and GPR55.

The CB1 receptors are mainly found on nerve cells, for example in your brain, where they regulate the release of different neurotransmitters (e.g. serotonin and dopamine). CB1 receptors can also be found on intestinal and nerve cells.

Unlike CB1 receptors, CB2 receptors are found on cells responsible for their immune defence and the building up and breakdown of bone.
